Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold feels like a bold step into the future of smartphones. Its dual-hinge design unfolds into a massive 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a tablet-like experience that’s incredibly immersive for videos, multitasking and reading. When folded, it turns into a more manageable 6.5-inch cover display, which is bright and sharp enough for everyday use. The build quality feels premium but at around 309g and 12.9mm thickness when folded, the device is noticeably heavier and bulkier than typical smartphones. Performance on the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is flagship-level, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Everything from heavy multitasking to gaming runs smoothly and the large screen truly enhances productivity. Samsung’s One UI (based on Android 16) is optimized for the tri-fold layout, allowing up to three apps side-by-side and even supporting standalone Samsung DeX for a desktop-like experience. That said, while the software is impressive, not all apps are fully optimized for this unique screen size yet, which can occasionally affect usability. The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold also packs a powerful camera setup, including a 200MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom. Photos come out detailed and vibrant, especially in good lighting, while the dual 10MP front cameras handle selfies and video calls well. Battery life is solid thanks to the large 5,600mAh battery and 45W fast charging helps top it up quickly. However, the device’s high price and limited availability make it more of a tech showcase than a practical choice for most buyers.
