Google Pixel 10a features a completely flat, wobble-free design with Gorilla Glass 7i, IP68 durability, and a brighter 6.3-inch 120Hz display. It keeps the 48MP camera setup but adds AI-powered features, launches with Android 16, and promises seven years of updates.

Google has officially unveiled and opened pre-orders for its 2026 A-Series device, the Pixel 10a. After a brief hands-on, it is clear this model represents a refined vision of what a smartphone should be- a completely flat, clean slate.
By eliminating the camera bump entirely, the Pixel 10a sets itself apart from the competition. The result is a smooth, uninterrupted surface that feels like you are holding nothing but the screen. Building on last year is nearly-flat Pixel 9a, Google has taken the design to its logical conclusion. The phone now sits perfectly level on a table with zero wobble a surprisingly refreshing tactile experience.
The signature "camera bar" is now set into a recessed layer beneath the matte plastic rear panel. While the glass is not completely flush with the body, the transition is so subtle you can only feel it by running a finger across it.
The device comes in four colors- standard Obsidian a subtle greenish Fog a bolder Lavender and a flashy Berry. This vibrant red, with an almost neon quality reminiscent of international orange is striking but perhaps too attention-grabbing for everyday use.
Durability and Display Upgrades
For the first time in the A-Series, Google has equipped the Pixel 10a with Gorilla Glass 7i on the front a significant leap from the Gorilla Glass 3 used for years. This upgrade, combined with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and a satin aluminum frame makes this the most durable A-Series phone to date.
The 6.3-inch Actua display (1080 x 2424 pOLED) maintains a 60-120Hz refresh rate but gets a brightness boost to 2000 nits (HDR) and 3000 nits (peak). Bezels have also been slimmed down by about 10% and are more uniform though users coming from a flagship might still notice the difference initially.
The Camera and Software
The camera hardware remains unchanged, featuring a 48MP main sensor a 13MP ultrawide (120°) and a 13MP front-facing camera. However, the Pixel 10a gains several software features from its flagship siblings, including Auto Best Take for group shots and a Gemini-powered Camera Coach to help guide your photography.
Launching with Android 16, the phone is backed by a commitment to seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates. It also supports Quick Share with Apple is AirDrop out of the box.
