Motorola has officially announced the launch date for its next Edge series smartphone in India. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will be unveiled on March 6 at 12 pm IST. Following the announcement, the device will be available for purchase via Flipkart and Motorola India’s official website.
Positioned as the most affordable variant in the Edge 70 lineup, the smartphone is expected to carry a starting price below ₹25,000 slightly undercutting the standard Motorola Edge 70. Notably, the device will make its global debut a few days earlier on March 2 just ahead of MWC 2026 in Barcelona.
On the camera front, the Edge 70 Fusion features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor, enhanced by Moto AI capabilities. This is paired with a 13MP ultrawide lens that also handles macro and depth sensing. Motorola highlights that the cameras are Pantone-validated to ensure accurate color and skin tone reproduction. For selfies and video calls, the phone is equipped with a 32MP front camera. The company has confirmed that all sensors, including the front-facing one, support 4K video recording.
Powering the device is a substantial 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 68W wired fast charging. Despite the large battery capacity, Motorola claims the phone maintains a slim profile at just 7.99mm thick.
The handset is built to last, boasting IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, as well as MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification. It will be available in three Pantone-curated finishes: Blue Surf, Country Air and Silhouette, all featuring a textured fabric-style back panel for a premium feel.
While official specifications are pending confirmation, the smartphone is rumored to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. Complete details regarding pricing and full specifications will be revealed at the official launch event.
