Motorola Edge 70 Pro launches in India on April 22 with a 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8500 chip, 50MP triple camera system, 6,500mAh battery with 90W charging and AI features.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro is set to launch in India on April 22, as confirmed by a Flipkart microsite. This also indicates that the smartphone will be available for purchase through the same e-commerce platform right after its release. The device will come in several finish options, including a satin luxe finish in Pantone Tea, a tailored fabric finish in Pantone Titan, and a marble finish in Pantone Lily White.
The phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED 1.5K display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, a peak brightness level of up to 5,200 nits, Pantone-certified colour accuracy, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It is claimed to meet MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards, along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Under the hood, the Edge 70 Pro is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chip, which reportedly achieves an AnTuTu score of over 2.4 million points. It will be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Out of the box, the handset runs on Android 16-based Hello UI, with promises of three years of OS upgrades and five years of security patches. Motorola is also bundling AI-powered features like Moto AI, plus integrations with Copilot, Gemini, and Perplexity. A 4,600 sq mm vapour cooling chamber is included to manage heat.
For photography, the Edge 70 Pro comes with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-710 primary sensor offering a variable focal range equivalent to 12mm–81mm. The camera system is Pantone SkinTone validated and includes auto macro vision. It also features a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus. The phone supports 4K video recording at 60fps on all lenses.
The device packs a 6,500mAh battery, claimed to deliver over two days of usage, and supports 90W TurboPower fast charging—with the charger included in the box. Additional highlights include Dolby Atmos support, Hi-Res Audio certification, and AI-enhanced low-light imaging.
