Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is Samsung’s new tri-fold smartphone featuring a 10-inch main display, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 200MP camera, and a premium price expected around ₹2.4 lakh globally.
Samsung has officially entered the multi-foldable phone market with the launch of the Galaxy Z TriFold on Tuesday. The new device, which folds inward, features a large 10.0-inch main display that unfolds to a tablet-like size and a secondary 6.5-inch cover screen. While global prices are pending, the cost in Samsung's home market provides a strong indicator. The 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model is priced at KRW 3,594,000, which roughly translates to $2,400, EUR 2,100 or about Rs. 2,20,400 before local taxes.
According to a report by GSMArena, this pricing makes the TriFold approximately 30% more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This has led to estimates that the US price could reach up to $2,990, with potential costs in Europe and India landing around EUR 2,680 and Rs. 2,44,000 respectively. However, these are unofficial estimates and Samsung is expected to announce confirmed pricing for other regions later this month.
Under the hood, the device packs a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, 16GB of RAM, and storage options up to 1TB. Its camera system is headlined by a 200MP primary sensor, accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto lens. For selfies, there are 10MP cameras on both the cover and main screens. Powering the device is a 5,600mAh battery supporting 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will first launch in South Korea on December 12. Later this month, it will roll out to other markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore and the UAE, with a US release scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
