The Vivo Y500 Pro has launched in China as a premium mid-range phone featuring a 200MP main camera, a massive 7,000mAh battery with 90W charging and a dual IP68/IP69 rating. It is powered by a Dimensity 7400 chipset and starts at 1,799 yuan (around Rs 23,000).

After a series of teaser campaigns and announcements, Vivo has officially unveiled the Y500 Pro in China. Positioned as a premium mid-range device, the smartphone stands out with high-end features including a 200 MP primary camera, a glass back and a dual IP rating. Below is a comprehensive breakdown of the specifications, pricing and availability.
The most notable feature of the Vivo Y500 Pro is its camera system. It is the first phone in its class in China to be equipped with a 200 MP Samsung HP5 sensor. This main camera boasts an f/1.9 aperture and integrates CIPA 4.0 standard optical image stabilization (OIS) for professional-grade video capture.
In addition to the impressive primary sensor, the rear setup includes a 2 MP depth sensor and a third, unspecified camera. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32 MP front-facing camera with an f/2.45 aperture. On the video front, the rear cameras support 4K recording at 30 frames per second, while the front camera maxes out at 1080p at 60 FPS.
The Y500 Pro also excels in battery performance. It houses a substantial 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which supports 90W fast charging via a USB-C connection.
Despite the large battery capacity, Vivo has managed to keep the design sleek, with a thickness of just 7.81 mm and a weight of 198.6 grams. Durability is also a key focus, featuring a dual IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, along with SGS Gold Label certification for Five-Star Drop and Fall Resistance.
The device sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen offers 3,840 Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain, SGS Blue Light certification and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Notably, it is the first "Y" series model to launch with OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16, right out of the box.
Additional features include an under-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, dual 5G SIM support and a USB-C 2.0 port.
